1.1 The Desert Intertie Network, hereafter referred as DIN or DIN System, has several goals:

  • To communicate via Amateur Radio
  • To have fun communicating
  • To avoid politics and infighting
  • To provide a high end, top quality system of repeaters, wide area links and remote bases, to cover the greater Yuma area and beyond.
  • To provide Emergency Amateur Radio Communications without limitations to a specific coverage area.

1.2 DIN repeaters are OPEN to Guests and Casual users. The “DIN System” is Limited such that the ancillary functions of the system are “Reserved” for system supporters

1.3 DIN is not a “Club”. The DIN System is a privately owned System. The owners will be the ultimate decision makers on system configuration, operating policies and procedures. There are NO regular meetings where members are offered the benefit of a democracy or debate, although feedback and suggestions by members are encouraged and will be considered by the DIN Owners. All decisions made by the DIN System Owners will be FINAL. DIN has obtained the Amateur “Club” Call-sign, W7DIN. The FCC calls it a Club Call-sign. DIN uses the Call-sign solely as a System Identifier ONLY!

1.4 The DIN System Principals reserve all rights to change the Charter, rules and their collective minds at any time.
